✅ Toothache
What to do: Rinse your mouth with warm water to clean it. If swelling occurs, apply a cold compress to the outside of your mouth. Avoid placing aspirin directly on the tooth, which can burn the gum tissue.

✅ Knocked-Out Tooth
What to do: Retrieve the tooth by the crown (not the root), and rinse it gently with water. Try to place the tooth back in the socket if possible. If not, place the tooth in a container with milk or saline solution to preserve it.

Hi! I am Dr. Joseph Willis. I grew up in a small town of Plymouth, Indiana (Notre Dame fan here) and moved to Oklahoma to attend college at Oral Roberts University in 2004. From there I attended University of Louisville School of Dentistry, graduating with my DMD in 2017. I worked as an associate with Heartland Dental for a little over 3 years before finding my home at Dental Arts.

I have always been passionate about dentistry since I was a small child, around 12 years old. I loved going to the dentist and watching my family get their teeth worked on or cleaned. The technology and life changing capabilities of dentistry now a days is just incredible! We have the best doctors and staff in the world! I am excited to have the opportunity of growing in with this community and taking care of everyone!

Dr. Soren Michaelsen was born and raised in Norman, OK. He attended the University of Oklahoma and Brigham Young University during his undergraduate studies. After acceptance into the OU College of Dentistry, Dr. Michaelsen and his wife Natalie, a native of Broken Arrow, were excited to be able to move back home to the Sooner State.

Immediately after receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, Dr. Michaelsen began his private practice in Catoosa where he plans to enjoy a long career serving and caring for the dental needs of Catoosa and the surrounding communities.
